To me, this photo of Ahmed says it all. It tells me about how Ahmed spent hours at home working on an artistic and expressive creation of engineering. It tells me about why he worked so hard, to stimulate his love for creation, exploration, and science, and to gain approval from his teachers, classmates, and school leaders from whom he sought love. It tells me about the beaming smile he wore as he carried his work to school and showed it off for the first time.
And it tells me about how he was dehumanized, crushed into pieces, and picked up by the magic of the world of social media.
